Next release I'll include hard drive support to work like the pendrive.
The great problem to put everything in hard drive is the OS. I'll keep OS in CD/DVD because if you have some problem with your hard drive, the OS will boot by CD/DVD.

PIAPARA LiveCD works support linux framebuffer (FB) via fbcon instead DirectFB library.
Do I need to change the mame.ini file from soft to something else to run accelerated?
You've done a great job with the CD - I was a big fan of advanceCD but I hated the lack of save support.

SDLMAME inside PIAPARA LiveCD was compiled to work without X11 and OPENGL.
Are you using PIAPARA LiveCD with arcade cab?

Yes - I am just wondering if I need to modify the video setting in the mame.ini file from soft to opengl to take advantage of the hardware acceleration.

Fbcon is a disavantage if you think about hardware acceleration, but it supports more videocards than directfb.
I'll include directfb on next PIAPARA LiveCD release, with SDLMAME 0.129 too.
