As a new Mandriva Linux is out, I'll release a new PIAPARA LiveCD.
Mandriva Linux 2010 Spring comes with a new kernel and I think we will have a better framebuffer support.
Stay tunned.

Cool! Nice to hear news from the Piapara CD project. I'm looking forward to testing the new distro. Thank you for your continuing effort.
Hi,
Sounds good!
I wanted to know whether PIAPARA LiveCD is right for me. I have a 15khz arcade monitor (no ArcadeVGA yet). I also want to be able to have very fast boot times (less than 10 seconds) and be able to instantly turn off the computer by unplugging it from the power. In other words, boot from USB-flash and don't write any data so nothing gets corrupted. I also want to store all my MAME ROMs on a SATA HDD (read only), but have saved data like high scores (read-write).
Can PIAPARA LiveCD do all this?
Thanks!
Hello Matt.
I designed PIAPARA LiveCD and PIAPARA PC2JAMMA interface to do that!
Download and try the latest version. Boot time is also increased by video hardware detection.
